JOURNEY

For our west to east ski crossings, we start in Kangerlussuaq in the dramatic west coast fjords of Greenland, and ski 575km across the magical expanse of the Greenland ice sheet, to finish on the east coast of Greenland in Isortoq, one of the world’s most remote Inuit villages. Our east to west ski crossings are simply the reverse of the above. Skiing across Greenland is one of the world's greatest and extreme expeditions.

 ENDURANCE

​This is a very challenging expedition with no room for error. You'll need to be in excellent physical condition. This is a long expedition needing stamina, patience and the mental fortitude to ski an average of 10 hours each day. The weather will test your resilience as we brave through cold temperatures and extreme wind.  We will ski with sleds carrying all our equipment and food for the entire expedition. Conditions can be very unforgiving to the poorly prepared.

ACHIEVEMENT

Leaving behind the outside world and its many complexities, you will be reduced to simplicity on the ice sheet. You will find a profound freedom and pureness in the singular purpose and uniqueness of polar ski travel. This will be a spiritual journey as much as a physical one.
